BENSON -- Megan Weller's 15 points led four Jaguars in double figures as Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa sacked Benson 56-47 in the first-round of the Fibrominn Girls Basketball Invitational at Benson High School on Friday.

Becca Gruber added 12, Peyton Miller 11 and Taylor Braegelman 10.

The Jaguars play Paynesville in the late game tonight. The Braves play MACCRAY at 6 p.m.

Emma Peterson had a big game for Benson, which trailed 27-19 at halftime. She scored 22 points, picked up 7 rebounds, made 8 steals and handed out 4 assists.

Courtney Olson nearly had another double-double for KMS with her 10 points and nine rebounds. Sam Dunn contributed five assists and five steals.

The Eagles got within six late in the game after trailing by 22 at halftime. Alaysia Freetly had 15 points and Kaitlin Connor another 11 to pace LQPV.
