BENSON — BBE scored the only six points logged in two overtime periods to defeat Paynesville 49-43 in the Benson Case IH Invitational on Saturday night at Benson High School.

BBE led by 11 at the half but Paynesville held the Jaguars to 10 second-half points to force overtime at 43-43.

Neither team scored in the first overtime.

Megan Weller led the Jaguars with 16 points and 6 rebounds and Buchholz finished with 14 points.

Paynesville’s Schaefer and Lee both scored 13 points and Burg finished with 10.

MACCRAY broke open a tight game in the second half to claim third place in the Benson Case IH Invitational on Saturday.

Aleah Schwitters scored 13 points and had 4 assists for the Wolverines while Jenna Mersbergen and Emily Orwick both grabbed 9 rebounds.

Benson’s Taylor Laumeyer scored a game-high 19 points, and she and Cyra Carlson both had 6 rebounds.

Renville County West shaved the BOLD lead to two points several times in the final two minutes but the Warriors held off the Jaguars on Saturday in Renville.

BOLD’s Carly Sigurdson scored a team-high 23 points and Andrea Maher had 14 points and 10 rebounds.

RCW’s Sadie Treml scored a game-high 30 points, made 9 steals and grabbed 6 rebounds.

The Jaguars are off until playing host to Lac qui Parle Valley at 7:30 p.m. Friday.

Litchfield led almost the entire game and held on down the stretch to defeat a strong Class AA Osakis team on Saturday in Osakis.

Hannah Norlin had 25 points and 16 rebounds and Macy Huhner finished with 8 points.

The Dragons improved to 2-1 and play host to Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.
