BENSON — Emma Peterson and Alexa Nissen combined for 45 points and Benson scraped out a win against Yellow Medicine East 56-54 on Thursday in Benson.

Only five players scored points for the Braves (4-6, 6-9), with Peterson leading the way with 25.

Nissen added 20 points, and Cyra Carlson had 8. Peterson had 7 rebounds and 8 assists, and Carlson grabbed 5 rebounds.

Kelly Anderson led the Sting (0-9, 1-12) with 20 points and 5 rebounds.

The Braves next play Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg today in Benson.
