BELGRADE — BBE ramped up the defense in the second half and the Jaguars thumped KMS 50-37 on Tuesday.

Kinlee Swanson, Megan Weller and Hailey Braegelman all scored 10 points and Bailey Buchholz finished with 9 points.

KMS’ Ali Miller scored a game-high 10 points and Kalli Forsell had 8 points and 9 rebounds. Maddi Strandberg finished with 7 points, 7 assists and 5 steals.

The Jaguars play a make-up game at Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted at 7:30 p.m. today while KMS travels to Hancock to play the Owls at 7:30 p.m. today.

The Tigers were hot, the Eagles were not, and Morris/Chokio-Alberta breezed through a non-conference game Monday in Morris.

The Tigers improved to 6-5 overall while Lac qui Parle Valley fell to 7-3.

Eden Valley-Watkins’ Dani Nelson hit a 15-foot baseline shot with about four seconds to play and the Eagles edged the Lakers on Monday.

The Lakers’ Madi Phillips scored 17 points and had 5 rebounds,  Bayley Pooler had 13 points and 4 assists, and Carley Stewart scored 11 points and also dished out 4 assists.

The Jaguars picked up their second win of the season, building a first half lead and making it stand at Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart on Monday.

Sadie Treml had 9 points, 11 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals to lead RCW.

Nora Kronlokken scored a game-high 14 points, and Steph Wersal narrowly missed a double-double, finishing with 9 points and 9 rebounds.

Michelle Melsha score 12 point for the Mustangs.
