Girls basketball roundup: Minneota pounds KMS

MINNEOTA — The potential battle between one-loss teams didn’t turn out to be much of one.

Minneota built a 27-point lead by halftime and kept rolling in the second, limiting KMS to just a dozen points in the second half of a 71-29 win Friday.

KMS fell to 5-2 in the conference and 7-2 overall while the Vikings improved to 5-0 in the league and 10-1 overall.

KMS’ Jenna Berget scored a team-high 8 points and Ali Clark had 6. Sam Dunn had 5 points and 6 rebounds.
