SAUK CENTRE — Class AA No. 6-ranked Sauk Centre was too much for Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City Friday as the Mainstreeters collected a 73-37 inter-West Central Conference win.

Sauk Centre (17-1) had 12 players scored en route to winning its seventh straight game. Macy Weller with 13 points, Jordan Gamradt 11 and Jena Klaphake 10 paced the balanced attack.

The Falcons (9-11), who shot only 28 percent from the field, had Sydney Larson score a game-high 14 points and Katie Moore pump in another 10.

The Dutchmen (3-17) snapped a seven-game losing streak by building an 18-point at halftime. Montevideo (10-7) outscored Melrose 32-21 in the second half, but the Thunder Hawks never got as close as the final margin.

Ashley Hoehne scored 15 points, Morgan Reidinger 10 and Tia Diggins and Natalie Feldhake 9 each for Montevideo. Gabi Sawyer scored a game-high 17 points for Melrose.
