Girls basketball roundup: Warriors down Eagles in 3AA-North

MONTEVIDEO — One of BOLD’s three losses this season was to Lac qui Parle Valley back on Jan. 4. The Warriors made up for it Tuesday, beating the Eagles 61-26 in the Section 3AA-North semifinals.
The No. 1-seed Warriors will face No. 2 Montevideo in the semifinals Friday in Redwood Falls.
The Eagles finish their season at 7-17 overall.
Carly Sigurdson led the Warriors (24-3) with 23 points, 6 rebounds and 4 steals.
Baylie Kubesh tacked on 19 points and 7 rebounds, and Maggie Nagel 12 points and 8 rebounds.
Mackenzie Clark led the Eagles with 10 points.

Justine Lee scored 24 points and Dawson-Boyd knocked off Ortonville in the Sub-Section 3A-North semifinals.
Katarina Kuhlmann added 19 points, and Mari Lee had 11 points and 8 rebounds for the Blackjacks (23-3).
The No. 2-seed Blackjacks will face No. 1 Minneota in the finals on Friday at Southwest Minnesota State in Marshall.

Jessica Schmitz scored 17 points and Maddy Helget had 10 to lead Sleepy Eye-St. Mary’s to a Section 2A North Sub-Section victory on Tuesday.
The loss ended ACGC’s season at 11-15.
The Falcons’ Sydney Larson scored a team-high 16 points in her final prep game and fellow senior Erica Melbie hit four 3-point shots and finished with 14 points.
