Girls basketball roundup: YME beats MACCRAY for 1st win

GRANITE FALLS — Yellow Medicine East picked up its first win of the season with a 50-37 victory over MACCRAY on Monday in a non-conference game.

The Sting improved to 1-9 while the Wolverines dropped to 3-8.

Dani Aus led the Sting with 20 points, 6 rebounds and drained five 3-pointers.  Danie Roden and Chyanne Sand each contributed 9 points and Cassie Struffert had 7.

Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City held a 32-16 lead at the half, but Lester Prairie/Holy Trinity stormed back with a 36-point second half to beat the Falcons 52-48.

Sydney Larson scored a game-high 24 points and also grabbed 10 rebounds to record a double-double and hit three treys for the Falcons (5-7).
