Girls Basketball: RTR sinks LQPV in final

MADISON -- Russell-Tyler-Ruthton took advantage of Lac qui Parle Valley errors to rough up the Eagles 64-51 in the championship game of the LQPV Invitational Friday.

The Knights also controlled the boards (45 to 25 rebounds), which led to many second-chance baskets on their offensive end.

Nickel Lamote with 14 points and 15 rebounds led the Knights' assault.

Mindy Clark, who had 32 points in Thursday's 67-61 win against Hancock, paced the Eagles once again with 18 points. Amber Moen produced 14 points, six rebounds, four assists and three steals. Melanie Gail also had six rebounds and four assists to go with six points.
