Girls Basketball: Schaefer paces Bulldogs

MONTEVIDEO — Kayla Schaefer had 13 points and 7 rebounds to lead Paynesville to a 51-32 road win over Montevideo on Thursday night.

Paynesville jumped out to a big first-half lead and limited the Thunder Hawks to just 10 total field goals.

The Bulldogs’ Bryanna Burg had 9 points and a team-high 10 rebounds and Brooke Wuertz scored 8 points.

Montevideo’s Ashley Hoehne scored 14 points and Morgan Reidinger scored 8.

The T-Hawks play next against MACCRAY at 7:30 p.m. today in Montevideo.
