Girls Basketball: Wendlandt's double-double powers NLS past Cathedral

NEW LONDON -- New London-Spicer exploded for more than 50 points in the first half en route to an 86-38 pasting of St. Cloud Cathedral Friday in West Central North Conference girls basketball.

The Wildcats (12-1, 19-1) recorded 55 points in the first 18 minutes and held the Crusaders (5-7, 8-13) to only 18, allowing only one point per minute.

The Wildcats owned the paint, with a double-double from Karli Wendlandt of 21 points and 11 rebounds. Abbey Knisely added 14 points and eight boards, and Brianna Jacobson scored 16 points.

Kelsey Cors dished out eight assists.
