GRANITE FALLS -- Minnewaska shot even-par as a team on Thursday, easily winning its seventh West Central South Conference meet of the season and 26th straight overall.

It was the first time a Minnewaska girls golf team shot par. The Lakers have won the past two Class A state titles and are heavily favored to win a third this season.

Emily Roering shot a season-best 34 and her sister, Sarah Roering, followed one shot back at 35. Allie Ostrander was third with a 37 and Brianna Janu shot 38. Sam Falk, whose score did not count on the team total, was fifth in the meet with a 40.

The Dragons had five golfers shoot under 45 to win its own tournament with a 167. Ellie Black and Katlyn Kiehn led the way, each shooting a 40. Kalli Swanson scored a 43, while Kayla Sommerfeld and Kristen Solbrack each had a 44.

Willmar took second with a 180, led by Katie Kroona's personal-best 39. Allison Baker and Carlee Bach each shot 46 and Anna Burns finished with a 49.

Amy Knutson shot a 44 to pace Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa, which was fifth with a 198. Whitney Bertram had as 45 and Jordan Grundeman a 49.
