Girls golf: Ponies ride by Lakers at Minnewaska Invite
GLENWOOD -- Stillwater edged Minnewaska on the Lakers home course on Friday by five strokes.
The Ponies shot a 330 score at the Minnewaska Golf Club to win the Lakers' 7-team invite.
Cassie Deeg of Stillwater was medalist with a 76 followed by Bobbie Bohlig of St. Cloud Tech at 78.
Jenna Janu's 79 was low for the home team, which posted four scores under 90.
Stillwater, one of the top teams in Class AAA, has beaten the Laker in 2 of 3 meetings this spring.
