WILLMAR -- Shelby Iverson's goal midway through the second period was all the scoring as Alexandria tamed the red-hot Willmar Cardinals 1-0 on Tuesday in Central Lakes Conference girls hockey.

The loss halted Willmar's six-game winning streak.

Shots on goal were near even -- 22 for Alexandria and 20 by Willmar.

Iverson scored from the crease moments after a faceoff in the low circle to goalie Baylie Young's left.
