Seven different players scored goals for the Cardinals (6-5), who ended a three-game losing streak during a five-game stretch in which they totaled 7 goals.

Shelby Schneider and younger sister Riley each tallied twice.

Lauren Sing, Alex Sobieck, Miranda Roelofs, Samantha Block and Liz Gorans each scored once.

Fueling the fire were Annie Johnston with four assists, Kierra Miller with three and Amelia Amon with a pair.

Freshman Johnika Wodash made her varsity debut in goal and was flawless. She made 13 saves as the defense allowed the Tigers (3-7) few quality chances.

The young Tigers, who roster just two seniors and don’t have a JV, dropped their sixth straight.

Willmar goes after its first CLC win Tuesday at Brainerd/Little Falls.
