Girls hockey: Sartell/SL blanks River Lakes 2-0

SARTELL — Sartell/Sauk Rapids goalie Erin Deters showed why she is one of 10 semifinalists for the Let’s Play Hockey Senior Goalie of the Year Award.
Deters saved all 36 shots River Lakes fired at her, leading the Stormin’ Sabres to a 2-0 Central Lakes Conference win Thursday night.
River Lakes dominated the offensive action, outshooting Sartell 36-17 but Deters was stout in net, turning back 27 shots in the first two periods alone.
Sartell broke through in the second period on Nicole Partch’s power play goal at 7:11. Partch added another power play tally in the third at 4:04.
River Lakes’ goalie Shana Clark made 15 saves.
