Girls swimming & diving: Two from Willmar in final 16

WILLMAR -- Willmar Cardinal divers Haley Mottinger and Maddie Lindblad each qualified for the Central Lakes Conference diving finals on Saturday in their home pool.

The first-year divers placed 15th and 16th during the preliminaries in the Cardinals' diving well on Thursday evening.

After eight dives, Beth Etterman of Brainerd leads the field with three dives left. She scored 255 points.

Swimming finals with diving after four events starts at noon Saturday in Willmar.
