Montevideo sophomore Kailey Maroney advanced to Monday’s round at Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter for a 9 a.m. match. Maroney defeated St. James’ Taylor Nordhausen 6-1, 6-2 and Ahnna Malecek of Redwood Valley 6-0, 6-1.
Ashley Hoehne defeated Redwood Valley’s Alyssa Lueck 6-2, 6-0 but was eliminated by St. James’ Loraina Hernandez 0-6, 2-6.
In doubles, Jessa Kack/Maikaela Erickson lost to Erickson/Kneip of Luverne 2-6, 4-6. Morgan Reidinger/Nikki Erickson defeated Bri Raddatz/Sandy Bartels, YME, 3-6, 6-2, 7-5; lost Foss/Fredrickson, St. James, 1-6, 2-6.
Yellow Medicine East’s Danielle Clarke made it to the second round singles of 3A individuals but lost to Fairmont’s Allison Moeller 6-2, 6-1.
In doubles, the Sting’s team of Jordan Glad and Jordan Trotter made it to round two but fell to St. James’ Julia Boeve and Aubrey Eckstrom 6-2, 6-1.
In singles, Amber Wieberdink def. def. Callie Raduenz, Glencoe Silver Lake, 4-6, 6-3, 6-4 lost to Eva Sullivan, Providence Academy, 6-1, 6-1; Kim Trulock lost to Grace Sperr, Holy Family, 6-1, 6-1

Kalley Spreiter and Kennedy Sommerfield went 2-0 to advance to Monday’s semifinal round at St. John’s University.
Also advancing in 5A is the Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa duo of Mattea Eckstein/Daisha Meyer.
Lisa Dobbelaere rebounded from a three-game decidit in the deciding third set to defeat Holy Family Catholics Grace Speer in the Section 5A individual tournament on Thursday.
Dobbelaere, the No. 3 seed, was down matchpoint twice before winning 6-1, 4-6, 7-5. She defeated Litchfield’s Natalie Nelson 6-1, 6-1 earlier in the day.
NLS’ Abby Nelson played Hanna Seitz of Providence Academy and lost 6-3, 6-1.
Two Wildcats doubles teams fell to pairs from Annandale. Kylie Soine and Reiley Ness, and Wally Gustafson and Louise Lungstrom both lost matches to Annandale teams.
