LONG PRAIRIE — Benson picked up another two wins at a quadrangular Friday by beating Little Falls 6-1 and host Long Prairie-Grey Eagle/Upsala/Swanville Area 5-2.

Benson was blanked 7-0 by Osakis in between its two wins.

Maggie Buyck at 1-singles, Raquel Curriel at 2-singles, Kelsey Rajewsky/Susan Zniewski at 1-doubles and Kendra Dingmann/Melanie Reese at 2-doubles all went 2-1 on the day for the Braves.

Benson gets just two days off as the Braves return to action on Monday when they host MACCRAY — coached by former Benson four-sport standout Daniel Fragodt — in a non-conference match starting at 4:30 p.m.

St. James Quad

Montevideo’s Nikki Erickson and Ashley Hoehne won two singles matches and the Thunder Hawks’ Avery Koosman and Abby Carlbom also won twice as a 3-doubles team Friday.

Montevideo defeated Martin County West 4-3, lost 6-1 to St. James and won five of six matches against Yellow Medicine East.

Koosman won a third match, pairing with Macy Peters to win a three-set match at 2-doubles against MCW.
