LITCHFIELD — Willmar won a pair of 4-3 duals over Litchfield and Rocori, but fell 5-2 to Pine City Monday at the Litchfield Quadrangular.

Cayle Hovland won all of three of her matches at 1-singles for Willmar and Laney Huhner also went 3-0 for the Dragons at 4-singles and 2-doubles.

Two of Hovland’s wins came in three sets, one coming against Pine City’s Natalie Cahill, the No. 10-ranked individual in Class A. The freshman’s other win was a 6-0, 6-0 shutout in the Cardinals’ win over Litchfield.

Earning match-winning points for Willmar was Jordan Swoboda at 2-singles against Litchfield and the 3-doubles tandem of Olivia Corneil and Kaylee Chester against Central Lakes Conference rival Rocori.
