WILLMAR — The always powerful St. Cloud Tech tennis team made clear early on that Willmar would not be party to an upset.

Tech didn’t drop a set and allowed the Cardinals just 14 games in a 7-0 Central Lakes Conference victory on Tuesday.

“I am proud of our girls,” said Willmar head coach Jim Anderson. “They knew this was going to be an up-hill battle and as a team played with a positive attitude from start to finish.”

Hannah Hansen played well at 2-singles, Anderson said, winning six games off Tech’s Leah Wurm.

“Although the scores don’t indicated it, all the girls improved from our previous outing against Tech,” Anderson said.

The Cardinals play next at Brainerd on Thursday.
