According to a news release from Meeker County Sheriff Jeff Norlin, Darlene Millerbernd was riding a 1990 Honda, which stalled on 700th Avenue just south of the intersection with 250th Street, which is northwest of Dassel.

According to Norlin, Millerbernd dismounted her motorcycle and knelt alongside it in an effort to restart it. The motorcycle suddenly restarted and appears to have been in gear because it drove over Millerbernd. The motorcycle then left the roadway and entered a field, traveling approximately 50 yards before stopping.

Along with sheriff's deputies, Dassel Fire and Rescue along with Gold Cross Ambulance responded to the crash.

The crash investigation is closed, and no criminal charges will result from this event.
