Gloria O'Halloran June 17, 1947 - Feb. 1, 2009
OLIVIA -- Gloria Jean O'Halloran, 61, of Olivia died from cancer Sunday at her home.
The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Olivia. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Dirks-Blem Funeral Home in Olivia with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m. and from 9:15 to 10:15 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
She was born June 17, 1947, in Willmar to James Moran and Leona (Dingels) O'Halloran. She graduated from Olivia High School in 1965, started college at the College of St. Catherine and graduated in 1969 from the University of Minnesota with degrees in journalism and advertising. She worked for Healthco Dental Supply doing dental office design and appraisals in Minneapolis, Denver and then for many years in Kansas City, Mo. She moved the O'Halloran home place north of Olivia in 2001 and was self-employed doing dental office appraisals. She was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church and the Olivia Golf Club.
She is survived by her mother of Olivia, two brothers: Pat (and Jeanne) O'Halloran of Prior Lake and Larry (and Kathy) O'Halloran of Deephaven.
She was preceded in death by her father and one brother.
