Golf: Tobkin shoots 1-over 109 to win Little Crow club championship

NEW LONDON -- Chris Tobkin shot a one-over-par 109 over 27 holes to win the Little Crow County Club championship on Saturday.

Paula Schroeder shot 95 over 18 holes to win the women's championship and Mike Sagedahl shot 74 over 18 holes to claim the senior men's championship.

Zondervan, Pettis, Keinitz win Hawk Creek titles

RAYMOND -- Steve Zondervan's shot 3-over-par golf to win the Hawk Creek Country Club Men's Championship on Saturday.

He put together nine-hole scores of 40, 35 and 36 for his 111 total, shading runnerup Zach Gerdes by a single stroke. Zondervan also won the club title in 2001.

Jim Pettis won the Senior Championship for the fifth time, a Hawk Creek record according to manager Barry Rothwell.

Trisha Kienitz won the Women's Championship, her first, with a score of 83. She will be a junior at Southwest Minnesota State and plays on the Mustangs' golf team.

Levi Hauser and his sister Baillee claimed both junior titles.

Hagstrom wins Pine Island championship

ATWATER -- Josh Hagstrom shot a 36-hole total of 145 to win the Island Pine Golf Club championship on Sunday by three strokes over Tony Kallevig.

Hagstrom opened with a 71 and finished with a 74 to hold off Kallevig, who entered the final 18 holes four strokes off the lead.

Aaron Zimmer was third at 153 and Dave Zaeska was fourth with 158.

Beier wins

PAYNESVILLE -- Randy Beier shot three nine-hole rounds of 38 to finish at 114 and claim a three-stroke victory over Lee Landsteiner and Steve Barten in Koronis Hills Club Championship on Sunday.

John Janotta shot 121 to win the men's senior championship, and RaNae Martinson shot 134 to win the ladies club title. Bonnie Strobbe shot a 91 net over 27 holes and was the ladies net winner.
