Gophers honor Kuznia as Breakthough Player of the Year

Ben Kuznia of Olivia was named the Minnesota Gophers' Breakthrough Player of the Year at the team's annual Golden Goldy's Awards banquet.

Kuznia, a wide receiver, will be a senior next fall. He entered the 2008 season without having caught a pass and appearing in only four games in the previous two seasons. But he was third on the team with 31 receptions, while starting 12 of 13 games and averaged 10 yards per catch.
