Gossman defeats Nelson for New London mayor
NEW LONDON -- Mayor candidate Bill Gossman will occupy New London's mayor seat in 2009.

Gossman won the New London mayor election after defeating Councilman Perry Nelson Tuesday evening with a 350 to 287 vote and an 84 percent turnout of registered voters.
