Gov. Dayton heads to Park Rapids for fishing opener
PARK RAPIDS, Minn. - Gov. Mark Dayton heads to Park Rapids for the 2013 Minnesota Governor's Fishing Opener and one of the iciest starts ever to the walleye season.
The plan had been for Dayton to wet his line on Fish Hook Lake. But organizers say they'll likely take him out onto the Fish Hook River instead Saturday because of all the ice on the lake. Guide Jason Durham says the river should provide decent fishing because walleyes will be concentrated there.
