Governor appoints two to Center for Rural Policy and Development
ST. PAUL -- Gov. Mark Dayton appointed two area residents to the Center for Rural Policy and Development, his office recently announced.
He appointed Dawn Hegland, of Appleton, as the business representative to replace William McCormack. Hegland is the executive director of the Upper Minnesota Valley Regional Development Commission.
He appointed Tim Velde of rural Granite Falls as the Farmers Union representative to replace Cynthia Johnson. Velde farms south of Granite Falls.
