Governor Dayton's visit to Bird Island postponed due to inclement weather

BIRD ISLAND -- Governor Mark Dayton will not visit St. Mary's School in Bird Island today. His visit is being postponed until next Friday due to the weather.

The Governor's office contacted the school this morning to report that the snow moving through the region makes it unsafe to fly by helicopter to Bird Island today.

The Governor will visit the school at 10 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 3 instead.
