Granite Falls man charged with attempted murder, assault in Friday stabbing

WILLMAR -- A 68-year-old Granite Falls man has been charged with second-degree attempted murder and first- and second-degree assault in the Friday stabbing of a woman in that city.

According to Police Chief Russ Blue, Curtis David Quale made his first appearance on the charges today in Yellow Medicine County Court.

The victim, Michelle Young, 47, of Granite Falls, is hospitalized at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, Blue said.
