Grant deadlines for SMAHC
The Southwest Minnesota Arts and Humanities Council has announced several grant deadlines and a grant writing workshop. For more information call 1-800-622-5284. The grant deadlines are April 1 for projects starting after June 1. The guidelines and application form can be viewed and downloaded from the SMAHC Web site at www.smahc.org.
Arts and Learning grants are open to schools, communities, and non-profit organizations. It provides matching grants for up to $2,500 for artist residencies, up to $750 for pre-packaged theatre residencies, and up to $600 for field trips. Each school or organization is limited to $2,500 in Arts in Learning grant funds per year.
Individual Study Opportunity provides up to $500 to artists of all ages and disciplines to engage in quality study opportunities. Some possibilities include professional mentorship, workshops, camps, or classes. This grant program is for artists in any stage of their career. Contact the SMAHC office with any questions about possible projects and eligibility. Funds may not be used towards college tuition for credit.
