GRANITE FALLS -- There were roughly 14,800 births recorded in Yellow Medicine County during its settlement era from 1870 to 1910.

We know this because Brian Schulz, director of the Yellow Medicine County Historical Society, will be entering all of the birth record information into a digital format with help from two proof readers.
