Green Lake Property Owners to spray Monday in Spicer, Minn.

SPICER -- Jamie Duininck, chairperson of the Green Lake Property Owners Association, says spraying for tent caterpillar worms around Green Lake will begin at 6 p.m. Monday, weather permitting.

If there is a wind of more than 5 mph, spraying will be delayed until 6 a.m. Tuesday.

All spraying will be done by helicopter with a sticky substance within the chemical. The chemical is not harmful.

Duininck said if spraying is delayed to Tuesday, it will stop from 7:30 to 8:15 a.m.

Duininck said white spots on car windows can be wiped off and will not harm the vehicle. All foliage from the circle around Green Lake will be covered.

Trees near the walking path will also be sprayed.
