Groothuis -- Degner

Holly Groothuis and Tyler Degner, both of Montevideo, are engaged to be married Sept. 10 at Maynard Lutheran Church.

Groothuis is the daughter of Rick and Jane Groothuis of Maynard.

She is a 2003 graduate of MACCRAY High School in Clara City and a 2008 graduate of Ridgewater College in Willmar with an associate degree as an administrative assistant. She is employed by Goldleaf Financial in Montevideo as an administrative assistant.

Degner is the son of Mike Degner of Cosmos and Becky Degner of Cosmos.

He is a 2003 graduate of Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City High School in Grove City and served in the United States Navy from 2004 to 2008. He is studying law enforcement at Ridgewater College and is employed by CNH in Benson.
