Gymnastics: Balanced attack swings Benson/KMS past Litchfield

BENSON — Chantell Andersen-Otto won all-around for Litchfield, but Benson/KMS was more balanced as the Braves defended their home venue by collecting a 128.35-123.85 non-conference win Monday.

Benson/KMS outpointed the visiting Dragons in vault, bars and beam to have Caitlin Flower, MiKaylie Hagen and Shayla Burns finish 2-3-4, respectively, in all-around.

Jane Hulterstrom, Andersen-Otto and Marley Virnig were 1-2-3, respectively, on floor for Litchfield.

Flower’s win on beam paced a 1-2-3 finish in the event for Benson/KMS.

Virnig also won vault and Andersen-Otto edged Hagen to place first on bars for the Dragons.
