Gymnastics: Jacobson lifts Willmar over SC Apollo

ST. CLOUD -- Kelsey Jacobson won the all-around as the Willmar gymnastics team beat St. Cloud Apollo 134.35-131.2 Thursday in a Central Lakes Conference dual.

Jacobson recorded a 35.125 despite not winning an individual event. She was second on the vault and third on the uneven bars, balance beam and floor exercise.

But Willmar's win was exceptional because the team was missing an important piece.

"Katlyn Lindblad was out with an illness so the girls did very well in her absence," said Willmar coach Larry Selchow.

Ashley Delp was third in the all-around with a 34.5. She took first on the balance beam with an 8.925. Abbey Weiler won the vault with an 8.95.
