WILLMAR -- The Willmar Cardinals fell back to earth on Thursday.

Two days after scoring a season-high 141 in a dual with New London-Spicer the Cardinals fell to Alexandria in a Central Lakes meet 139.95 to 135.850.

Willmar won floor and the vault in the team totals but had a tough night on the balance beam after a near flawless evening two days earlier in the Kennedy gym. Alexandria won the beam event 34.95 to 31.95.
