Hancock too much for KMS

KERKHOVEN -- Ken-dra Schmidgall had 25 kills and four ace blocks and setter Shae Brown had 23 set assists in Hancock's 25-12, 25-8, 25-11 sweep of Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg Tuesday in a non-conference volleyball match.

It was the season opener for both teams.

Schmidgall misfired only twice in 33 attacks and had a blistering hitting percentage of .697 for the Owls.

Lexi Steege had a match-high three ace serves for Hancock as Schmidgall, Brown and Ali Reese each added two more.

KMS' Ellen Johnson had 10 set assists and two service aces.
