Harold W. Bohm March 1, 1912 - March 14, 2009
MILAN -- Harold Wilhelm Bohm, 97, of rural Milan, died Saturday at his home.
The service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Kviteseid Lutheran Church in Milan. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation is this afternoon and evening with the family present from 5 to 7 p.m. and with a prayer service at 7 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo.
He was born March 1, 1912, in Stroud to Frank and Caroline Bohm. He attended school in the St. James and Butterfield area and later attended Dunwoody Institute. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II in Africa and India.
He married Amy Andrews on July 10, 1938, at Watertown, S.D. They lived at Maynard, Montevideo, and Milan. He farmed for many years before his retirement.
He was a member of the American Legion and the VFW and served on the Watson Farmers Elevator Board, the county extension committee, the board of deacons at Kviteseid Lutheran Church, and the District 35 School Board.
He is survived by two daughters: Phyllis (and Jim) Hanson of Milan and Judi Bohm of Milan; four grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a brother: Frank Bohm Jr. of Chula Vista, Calif
He was preceded in death by his wife in 1991, three brothers and three sisters.
