KERKHOVEN -- Harriet Lierman, 64, of Reston, Va., died Nov. 7 following a four-year bout with ovarian cancer.
The service was held Wednesday at the Floris United Meth-odist Church in Herndon, Va. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery Saturday in Kerkhoven.
A public visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday at the Harvey Anderson Funeral Home Kerkhoven Chapel with burial to follow.
She was born on Nov. 20, 1943, in Willmar to John and Minnie Wubben of rural Raymond. She attended country school and later Central Minnesota Christian School in Prinsburg. She continued her education at Willmar Community College.
On Dec. 29, 1965, she married Gary Lierman. They lived in northern Virginia and spent nearly 20 years abroad working for the federal government. Upon returning to the U.S. in 1989, she worked as a finance officer for the Central Intelligence Agency, retiring in 1998. She was a member of Floris United Methodist Church in Herndon where she was a member of the choir and Bible study groups.
She is survived by her husband; children: Geoffrey Lierman of Melbourne, Fla., and Amy Lierman of Sterling, Va.; five grandchildren; her mother of Renvillle; siblings: Emy (and Hugh) McConnell of St. Paul, Janel (and Curt) Watson of Renville, Rachel (and Ken) Moll of Anchorage, Alaska, Faith Ann (and Mike) Apol of Wayland, Mich., Wanda (and Paul) Knapper of Renville, Cordell (and Lucille) Wubben of Prinsburg, Willis (and Gret) Wubben of Raymond, Curtis Wubben of Roseland, and Terry (and Lori) Wubben of Churchill, Mont.
She was preceded in death by her father; and a son: Bruce.
