CLARKFIELD -- Harriet Alvina Orres, 88, of Clarkfield died Saturday at Chippewa County-Montevideo Hospital from a stroke.
The service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Clarkfield Lutheran Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements are by Lynner Funeral Home in Clarkfield.
She was born Aug. 16, 1920, in Clarkfield to Martin and Amanda (Larson) Hansen.
She married Lawrence Orres on Dec. 26, 1940. She traveled with her husband while he was in the Army until he was shipped overseas. She returned to Clarkfield. After World War II, they lived in Clarkfield. She worked at the local telephone company and then as a postal clerk at the Clarkfield Post Office until her retirement. She was a member of Clarkfield Lutheran Church, the American Legion Auxiliary and a bowling league.
She is survived by her daughter: Andrea Holden of Minneapolis and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband and two brothers.
