Harvey W. Goldenstein, age 91 of Kerkhoven, died on Friday, March 7, 2014 at Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar. Visitation will be from 10:30 am to Noon on Saturday, March 15, 2014 at Harvey Anderson Clara City Funeral Home. A private family service will be held at a later date.

Harvey Wallace Goldenstein was born on September 16, 1922, in Clara City, Minnesota. He is the son of Heiko and Elizabeth (Klinghagen) Goldenstein and was raised in rural Clara City. After schooling in Clara City he served in the Navy during WWII and later was honorably discharged.

On February 12, 1947, he was united in marriage to Doris Anna Lorraine Holmgren at St. Johns Lutheran Church in Raymond Minnesota. Following their marriage, they lived on a farm north of Clara City and in 1949 moved to their farm south of Kerkhoven where he lived the rest of his life. The farm where he and Doris lived for 65 years, found much happiness in their farm work, family & friends. Harveys hobbies included fishing, hunting, woodworking and enjoying family and friends. He was a member of the Legion, VFW and the Bethany Reformed Church in Clara City.

Surviving are his children Donna Norrie of Eden Prairie; Brad (and Lori) Goldenstein of St. Bonifacious; Jeff Goldenstein of Kerkhoven: Nine grandchildren, Libby Felling, Tim (and Shannon Fabick) Norrie, Mike (and Polly) Norrie, Tisha (and Dan) Gaspard, Sarah (and Aku) Hussain, Jenny (and Miles) White, Chad (and Amanda) Keuseman, Bennett (and Shara Henkel) Goldenstein, Kendra Goldenstein: 19 great grandchildren: his sister Helen Kray and sister in-law Irene Goldenstein.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Doris, 2 brothers and 4 sisters.
