WILLMAR -- The forecast path of Thursday's expected snowfall has shifted to south central Minnesota. The potential for heavy snow exists for late tonight into Thursday across south central Minnesota, according to the National Weather Service in Chanhassen.
The Willmar area and a swath of central Minnesota is under a hazardous weather outlook for snowfall ranging from a dusting to 2 inches.
Redwood County in the Willmar region remains in a winter storm watch from Thursday morning to afternoon in southern Minnesota, mainly south and west of a line from Redwood Falls to Owatonna. There is the potential for up to 6 inches in the watch area, but mainly south of the Interstate 90 corridor.
Other parts of southwestern Minnesota are under a winter weather advisory -- including the Marshall area -- and a winter storm warning in the far southwest.
