MORRIS -- Helen Irene Hennen, 100, of Morris died Wednesday at West Wind Village in Morris.
The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Assumption Catholic Church in Morris. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Morris.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday with a rosary at 7 p.m. and a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. at the Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris and for one hour prior to the service at the church.
She was born Nov. 1, 1908, in Morris to John and Pauline (Ghelhar) Beimel. She grew up in Morris and graduated from Morris High School in 1926.
She married John Hennen on June 24, 1926, in Morris. They farmed in Synnes Tonwnship, Stevens County, until 1938, then farmed in Darnen Township, Stevens County, until 1972, when they moved to Morris. She moved to West Wind Village in 1999. She was a member of Assumption Catholic Church, the St. Patrick's Mission Circle and Christian Mothers.
She is survived by seven children: John (and Joan) Hennen of Ottumwa, Iowa, Marilyn Mahoney of Morris, Lois (and Ken) Johnson of Donnelly, Lynette (and Keith) Cox of Connersville, Ind., Edward (and Nancy) Hennen of Minneapolis, Stanley (and Diane) Hennen of Morris, Peg (and Mike) Schwendeman of Hampton; daughter-in-law: Shirley Hennen of Metairie, La.; 34 grandchildren; 70 great-grandchildren; 22 great-great-grandchildren and one sister: Ella Coleman of Minneapolis.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1990; two sons: Richard and Roger; son-in-law: Don Mahoney; one brother and four sisters.
