GRANITE FALLS -- Helen Almeda Nordang, 83, of Granite Falls died Friday at the Chippewa County Montevideo Hospital.
The service will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Granite Falls Lutheran Church. Burial will be at Hillcrest Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the Wing-Bain Funeral Home in Granite Falls and one hour before the service at the church.
She was born March 19, 1925, in Wegdahl to Erick and Anna (Anderson) Tweeter. She lived her entire life in the Granite Falls and Montevideo areas. She attended District 28 School in Wegdahl and graduated from Montevideo High School in 1944.
She married Ole Nordang on May 4, 1945. She was a long-time member of the Granite Falls Lutheran Church and the Degree of Honor Protective Association. She volunteered her quilting abilities at church and at Granite Falls Manor.
She is survived by her children: Linda (and Howard) Flickinger of Montevideo, Elden Nordang, and Mary (and Marlin) Hildahl, all of Granite Falls; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one sister: Marlys "Toots'' Anderson of Montevideo.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1995, four brothers and two sisters.
