APPLETON -- Helen Radtke, 99, of Appleton died Wednesday at Appleton Area Health Services.
The service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in rural Appleton. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Zniewski Funeral Home-Vaala Chapel in Appleton and for one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday.
She was born April 28, 1907, in Hegbert Township, Swift County, to Andrew and Anne (Pladsen) Stenstuen. She attended country school at District 22 in Hegbert Township. She did housework for people in the area.
She married William Radtke on Nov. 12, 1927, in Alberta. She was a homemaker. William died in 1975. She lived on the farm until 1994, when she moved to Riverview Apartments in Appleton. She moved to the Appleton Municipal Nursing Home in 2005.
She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and active with the Women of the ELCA.
She is survived by her children: Verlan (and LaMae) Radtke, Darlene (and Orville) Koosmann, all of Appleton; four grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one sister: Agnes Byre of Holloway.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1975; five brothers and eight sisters, three in infancy.
