FAIRMONT -- Henry August Boehme, 62, of Fairmont, formerly of Willmar and Bird Island, died Thursday at Immanuel St. Joseph Hospital, Mankato after a four-year battle with cancer.
The service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Lakeview Funeral Home in Fairmont.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
He was born on Feb. 14, 1946, in Willmar to Vincent and Catherine (Skinner) Boehme. He attended St. Mary's Catholic School in Bird Island and completed his education in the Bird Island Public School. He worked construction in the Bird Island area.
He married Hazel Slattum.
He married Linda Kronlokken Haugen in Marshall on Oct. 16, 1994. They lived in Marshall until moving to Fairmont in 1996 where he worked for Cloverleaf Cold Storage and Guenther's.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and was a Boy Scout troop leader.
He is survived his wife; children: David Boehme of Spicer; Bob (and Julie) Boehme of Kandiyohi; Chuck Boehme of Hector; Raymond (and Jill) Boehme of Fargo, N.D., and Paul (and Peggy) Boehme of Olivia; step-children, Lisa (and Wayne) Erebus of Marshall; Richard Haugen of Sacred Heart and Sarah Haugen of Granite Falls; seven grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; one step-great-granddaughter; siblings: Arnie Boehme; Greg Boehme; Ray Boehme; Jim (and Marilyn) Boehme, Barb (and Bob) Laughlin and Mary (and Ron) Swanson.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
