DANUBE -- Henry Schneiderman, 85, of Danube died Tuesday at his home.
The service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church in Danube. Burial will be in St. Matthew's South Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday in the Dirks-Blem Funeral Home in Renville and for one hour prior to the service at the church.
He was born Oct. 1, 1923, in Crooks Township, Renville County, to Chris and Etta (Hinderks) Schneiderman. He grew up on the family farm and attended school in Renville. He served in the U.S. Army in Europe during World War II. Following the service, he returned to Danube and began farming. He also drove truck for Goldhammer Trucking for a number of years.
He married Jeanette Voelz on Sept. 27, 1947, in Danube.
He was a member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church and served on the church council.
He is survived by his wife; children: Donna Schneiderman of St. Paul and Dale (and Rachel) Schneiderman of Danube; a grandson; two great-grandchildren; and a sister: Esther Millerbrend of Renville.
He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
