Highway 19/71 closed due to mudslide between Redwood Falls and Morton in west central Minn.
WILLMAR -- The Minnesota Department of Transportation and the Minnesota State Patrol closed Highway19/71 between Redwood Falls and Morton this morning because of a mudslide caused by saturated soil due to snow melt.
Traffic will be detoured on Redwood County Road 1, Redwood County Road 24 and Redwood County Road 2 to Highway 19/71. The highway segment will remain closed for approximately two days, weather permitting.
When a road is closed it is illegal to travel in that area, according to a news release from MnDOT.
