Highway 4 south of Paynesville has lane closures during bridge repair
PAYNESVILLE -- Lane closures began this week on state Highway 4 south of Paynesville.
Minnesota Department of Transportation crews are working on a bridge joint repair project, and the highway will be reduced to one lane during the project.
Signs will direct motorists to stop and take turns where the lanes go from two to one lane.
The lane closures will remain in place until the work is completed on Aug. 30, weather permitting.
The routine repair project should help preserve the structural integrity of the bridge and provide a smoother ride.
Motorists are asked to slow down, drive with caution through the area and watch for crews working. For updated statewide traffic, construction, weather and travel information visit www.511mn.org.
